Frequently Asked Questions

Is my JSON uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so private data like API responses and config files never leaves your device.

What is the grid view?

It shows JSON as tables: objects become key and value rows, and lists of objects become a table with one row per item and one column per field. Nested parts open and close with a click.

How do I find an error in my JSON?

The status bar under the editor shows what is wrong and the line and column where it happens. Common causes are a missing comma, a trailing comma, or single quotes instead of double quotes.

Can it handle large files?

Yes. Files of several megabytes work. The grid shows large lists 200 rows at a time so the page stays fast.
